Mural Project

So I have been putting this aside too long- Father Raniero wanted to see the proposal. The church asked me to paint the meeting room with three murals- all important california catholic missions. The first one is San Juan Capistrano (Romantic place with fun festivals- Mariach!!) From my experience- mural could be total nightmare-if you don't plan it carefully...I learned my lessons long time ago..physically hurt my arms and everything went over the budget!!..so I better be smart this time. Simple and clean, no fashionable brush strokes or shading with grey. I just wanted to transfer my drawing, put it on some textured-possibly with some sponge action, earthy tone backgrounds. (BTW Tiepolo's one of my favorite classical painters)
Then just touch up the highlights with opaque hues with drybrush technique. Now once Father approves my sketch- I need to look for a projector.
I think Izzy can help me with that... Anyhow, this should be fun not tiring, I hope everything goes smoothly. I can't be spending too much time with this- I don't think the room even has a AC. I don't want to stuck in the room throughout the summer.
I will keep you updated...
Cecil
