Rio De Janeiro

It seems like these two images have no connections with each other whatsoever-I have to say the second image I painted was sort of inspired by Christ-the-Redeemer statue in Rio De Janeiro which is one of the places I want to go visit.

Nice painting inspired by a nice place.
I've been to Rio two years ago and it's really a cool place to visit.
But PLEASE, take a camera that has a wide angle lens with you since the walking path up there is too short in length when the statue is too tall and a regular camera won't let you take a good picture of it. All my pictures were either cut off in my neck or in statue's chest.

Awesome work!!
So inspiring to see a different take on Brazil!!!
I studied the favellas in Rio de Janerio during my final year at uni. i made my student grad film set there, using the Corcovardo (Christ the redemear) as one of my main references and influences behind the story.
Must say, my take on Rio is very different to yours, but its great to see other styles!!
Check my film and art work out on my blog if your interested.
The film is called "Favelados"
I also have an old website which has more production development for the fim, studies of Rio etc at the the films official website. its a bit dated now, as it still only shows the films trailer, but hey its a few extra stuffs if your interested. :
